RICE MAGAZINE’S MISSION STATEMENT
Rice Magazine is the flagship print and online publication of Rice University, published quarterly by the Office of Public Affairs. In each issue, we highlight Rice’s
- teaching, research and creative achievements
- campus life and culture
- local and global outreach
In each issue, we feature stories about the head, hands and heart of the university community. We feature stories about where we live as an institution and community — the complex and burgeoning city of Houston — extending out to the world in which in our students, faculty and alumni are making an impact.
We seek the highest standards in writing, editing, design and photography. Our ultimate goal is to build appreciation of and support for Rice. We do not publish class notes in Rice Magazine, as they are published online and twice a year in print in the Owlmanac, which is mailed to alumni, faculty and friends. Our print, multimedia and exclusive online content is here: magazine.rice.edu
With a circulation close to 60,000, our audience is primarily alumni, but also staff, faculty, parents of students, donors and other community members. There is no membership, dues or subscription required for receiving the Rice Magazine. Rice Magazine also has no external advertising.
